New flights to Maputo from South Africa

The airline company Comair, which operates British Airways flights in southern Africa, is launching scheduled services from Lanseria International Airport between Pretoria and Johannesburg to Maputo and to Gaborone in Botswana from 1 September. This is the first time that aircraft operating under the British Airways brand will fly from Lanseria airport.

Located near the business hub of Sandton, the airport at Lanseria was established 30 years ago and provides charter, domestic and international flights from major airlines.

The daily return flights to both destinations will operate from Monday to Friday, with two daily flights on certain days of the week.

Initially British Airways will provide eight return flights per week between Lanseria and Maputo, and seven return flights per week to and from Gaborone, with plans to add extra flights to both destinations before the end of 2011.
